Marco
Bello will enter the 2012 season attempting to win his second
consecutive premiership as coach of the Box Hill Hawks Development Team. 2011 was his first season as coach and it was a near
perfect season, with the team finishing with 16 wins and 2 losses throughout the
regular season and were the eventual premiers.
As a
player, Bello had a decorated career. He started his VFL playing days
at Box Hill however after two seasons he made the decision to move to South Australia and play for
Central Districts in the SANFL. This is where his football career really took off. He went on to win five premierships with Central Districts, collected 2 best
and fairest awards, and was a SANFL state representative on two occasions. He later moved back to Box Hill as a playing assistant coach for the development side which went on to win the premiership in 2010.
