DAMIAN CARROLL
SENIOR COACH

Damian Carroll was appointed senior coach of the Box Hill Hawks in late 2010 and in his first season at Box Hill Hawks reached the VFL Finals, finishing eighth after losing to Werribee in the Elimination Final by 26 points.

Carroll established a strong VFA/VFL career with the Springvale Scorpions (now Casey) with a club record 233 senior games which places him 9th on the all time VFA/VFL games played list.  Carroll won four premierships with Springvale and was a member of the leadership team for eight seasons,

During the seasons of 2009 and 2010, Carroll was coach of the TAC Cup side Gippsland Power taking them to the Grand Final in 2009.

JOSH HUMBLER
SENIOR ASSISTANT / ACADEMY COACH

Josh Humbler joined the Box Hill Hawks this season as a Senior Assistant Coach in 2011.

Humbler's football career highlight was playing in Kedron Football Club's undefeated 2006 premiership side. In 2007 he became an assistant coach for Kedron where they once again won the premiership.

Humbler stayed with Kedron for 2008 and 2009 and then made the move from Queensland to Melbourne to coach Old Trinity in 2010.

 PATRICK HILL
 SENIOR ASSISTANT COACH

Patrick Hill has coached for over 10 years in various coaching roles with Bonbeach, Tooradin and Springvale Districts. His main acheivement was being a part of the 2011 Box Hill Hawks Development Side Premiership as an Assistant Coach. 

2012 will be Patrick's second season with the club, in which he has been promoted as a Senior Assistant Coach after a fine first season.

 DAVID MADIGAN
SENIOR ASSISTANT COACH

David Madigan is about to enter his second season in a coaching position with the Box Hill Hawks.  He brings plenty of experience to the table after coaching De La Salle College from years 2002-2008, De La Salle Under 19s VAFA from 2004-2006, and De La Salle A grade VAFA Seniors from years 2007-2010.

Some of his major acheivements includes coaching 2 Under 19 Premierships and making the finals twice while coach of the A grade Senior VAFA De La Salle team.

MARCO BELLO
DEVELOPMENT TEAM COACH

Marco Bello will enter the 2012 season attempting to win his second consecutive premiership as coach of the Box Hill Hawks Development Team.  2011 was his first season as coach and it was a near perfect season, with the team finishing with 16 wins and 2 losses throughout the regular season and were the eventual premiers. 

As a player, Bello had a decorated career. He started his VFL playing days at Box Hill however after two seasons he made the decision to move to South Australia and play for Central Districts in the SANFL. This is where his football career really took off.  He went on to win five  premierships with Central Districts, collected 2 best and fairest awards, and was a SANFL state representative on two occasions.  He later moved back to Box Hill as a playing assistant coach for the development side which went on to win the premiership in 2010.

MORRIS D'ALESSANDRO

Development Assistant Coach

Morris D'Alessandro is entering his third season as a part of the coaching team of the Development Side. He has been a key component of the premierships for this side in the last couple of years.

As a player, Morris was a fine footballer and is in the Team of the Century at Eagle Hawk Neck Barracuda's and was also the Captain Coach of Endeavour Hills.

TRAVIS STEPHENS
DEVELOPMENT ASSISTANT COACH

Travis Stephens rejoins the Box Hill Hawks in 2012 after being a past player in 1997.  He also played at Old Trinity in VAFA for 5 years, and played at Nunawading in the EFL for 8 seasons (including player assistant coach for 2 years and captain for 2 years).

Some of his key achievements include being a premiership player at Old trinity in 1999, being captain at Nunawading for 2 seasons, playing finals at Nunawading from years 2006-2008, and playing as an EFL Interleague representative in 2003 and 2004.

IAN KENT
DEVELOPMENT ASSISTANT COACH

Ian Kent joins the Box Hill Hawks for the first time in season 2012.  He has had plenty of experience with coaching roles at Ashwood, Surrey Park, Vermont, and Blackburn over the past 8 years. 

The club is delighted to have the wealth of Ian's experience on board and he should be a valuable asset for this season.
