BOARD OF DIRECTORS
The Box Hill Hawks Football Club Limited was officially established on 23rd December 1999 after a joint venture was agreed between the Box Hill Football Club Inc and Hawthorn Football Club Ltd.
This agreement was subsequently renewed in 2002 and 2006; the current agreement is for 5 years duration covering the 2007 through 2011 Football seasons.
As per the current agreement, the Box Hill Hawks Board comprises a maximum of 9 Directors.
Below is a brief biography of the Club’s present Board of Directors.

John Ure (President)
John is one of the three remaining foundation Box Hill Hawks Board Members.
He joined the Box Hill Football Club Board in 1989 and served as Treasurer from 1990 to 1994 and from 1996 to 2002. He was appointed a Box Hill Hawks Director following the alignment with Hawthorn. He received Life Membership of the Box Hill Football Club in 1994.
Following the resignation of inaugural President Tony Pinwill due to his work relocation to Sydney, John was appointed President in December 2002. With an Honours Degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Master of Engineering Science, John is General manager of Deer Park Engineering. |

Jim Conway
Appointed on to the Board of Directors in December 2004, Jim runs a Conference Solutions Company. He is an avid Hawthorn supporter and extends this support to the Box Hill Hawks.

Greg Cook
As the former Managing Director of Sport Events and current General Manager - Membership and Community of Hawthorn Football Club, Greg brings a wealth of experience to the Box Hill Hawks Board. A Board member since June 2002, Greg also has a Diploma in Travel and Tourism.

Mark Evans
Mark is the General Manager of Football Operations at the Hawthorn Football Club.
He is also a past player of the Box Hill Football Club and former Director of the Sandringham Football Club. He has been a Member of the Box Hill Hawks Board since December 2004.

Tony Pinwill
Tony Pinwill was appointed to the Board of Directors
in January 2010.
Tony has a long association with Football in Melbourne’s eastern
suburbs, having played over 400 games in the Eastern Football League and
serving as President of the Donvale Football Club and as a Director of the
Eastern Football League. Between 1998
and 2002 he was a Director of the Box Hill Football Club and later the Box Hill
Hawks Football Club; serving as the inaugural President of the Box Hill Hawks
from 2000 to 2002 and guiding the Club to the 2001 VFL Premiership. From 2006 to 2009 he was a Director of AFL
Victoria.
Tony is Regional Director – Southern Region – of
Veolia Environmental Services.

Sam Koulis
Appointed onto the Board of Directors in August 2006, Sam has been the Director of Soho Workshop for seven years.

Martin Ralston
Martin has been on the Board of Directors since May 2006. He has a Bachelor of Economics and has been a partner with Management Consulting Company, Accenture for 25 years.

Gary Sammartino
Having spent three years as a player at Box Hill Hawks from 2002-2005, Gary was officially appointed onto the Board of Directors in December 2008.
He has a Double Bachelors Degree in Commerce and Economics and is employed as a consultant in Risk & Controls Solutions at the professional services firm PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Ed Sill
Ed is the Chief Executive Officer
of the Locker Group, an international manufacturing company based in Melbourne.
Previous
sporting involvements include a number of years as President of the Hawthorn
Amateur Football Club as well as coaching in the F.I.D.A league.
Ed is both a
Box Hill and Hawthorn member.
