The “Chair Persons” Club

On Friday 24th July 2009 ‘The Pavilion at Box Hill’ was officially opened by the City of Whitehorse.

Whilst financial contributions were received from numerous stakeholders for this project, the fit-out of the function room was left largely unfunded.

The club therefore launched a fundraising initiative called The ‘Chair Persons Club’ to sell the lifetime naming rights of all 34 seats on the two balconies.

With thanks to the many family and corporate members of the club, all the seats were sold and the club raised a very handy $34,000 which helped purchase the tables and chairs required.
