In their 2013 campaign, the Geelong Cats carried through a 13 match-winning streak into the Grand Final against the mighty Box Hill Hawks. There must be some validity behind the unluckiness of the number 13, because the Hawks snatched the flag from the Cats at Etihad stadium with a 21-point win.

Box Hill recorded their second win on the trot in emphatic fashion on Sunday, thrashing Sandringham to the tune of 104-points at Box Hill City Oval. The four points all but sewn up by halftime courtesy of an eight goal to zero second quarter from the Hawks.

A slow start and wayward kicking has seen another classic Sandringham-Box Hill contest deadlocked at the final siren. A blistering opening term by the Zebras saw Box Hill playing catch up for much of the first half.
